World Blood Donor Day (June 14)
The 2026 theme is "One Drop of Humanity. Give Blood. Save Lives." Each donation is an act of compassion and solidarity. One unit of blood can save up to three lives. Yet most countries still lack the minimum 1% to 2% of population donating regularly to meet national needs. A call to action for regular voluntary donation.
15th International Symposium on Antimicrobial Agents and Resistance (ISAAR) 2026 (June 12‑14)
In the theme of "Fighting the ongoing pandemic of antimicrobial resistance", this symposium brought together researchers and experts in infectious disease, microbiology, public health, pharmaceuticals and biomedical sciences. A platform to share innovative research, foster collaboration, and explore strategies to combat AMR.
Global Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Awareness Day (June 21)
The MND Association works year round to spread understanding of the disease through news stories, campaigns, social media, and podcasts. They also organise the International Symposium on ALS/MND, the largest medical and scientific conference on the disease. Everyone can help by talking about MND and sharing stories.
