A key event for continuing professional education, organised by HKU Medicine and Queen Mary Hospital. Over 2,000 participants joined lectures, symposiums, and the medical exhibition. Local and international specialists covered a variety of topics, from heart failure management to cardio renal metabolic conditions.
Hong Kong International Medical and Healthcare Fair (May 11-13)
The theme was 'Innovations Boosting Smart Health Experience'. The fair showcased smart hospital solutions, telemedicine, medical devices, and wearable health technology. By connecting with global suppliers, participants were able to explore the latest healthcare technology.
World No Tobacco Day (May 31)
This year’s theme is "Unmask the appeal – countering tobacco and nicotine addiction". Tobacco and nicotine industries design their products to trap young people in addiction. Worldwide, 40 million adolescents aged 13 to 15 use tobacco, and 15 million already use e cigarettes. In countries with available data, teens are on average nine times more likely to vape than adults.
