Quadripartite Medical Education Conference 2026 (September 4-6)

The inaugural Quadripartite Medical Education Conference took place at the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine Jockey Club Building. The conference explored the changing landscape of medical education. It focused on competency-based medical education and its practical application, along with other key topics such as workplace-based assessment.
26th Regional Osteoporosis Conference (September 13)

This conference was successfully held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The theme was Bone Health Reimagined From Prevention to Precision Management. Experts discussed topics including diet, vitamin D and calcium, osteoporosis and sarcopenia, bone health during pregnancy and lactation and weight management. The programme also covered novelties in diagnosis and treatment and the prevention and management of medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ).
World Heart Day 2026 (September 29)

The theme for 2026 is "Don't Miss a Beat," highlighting that heart disease often hides in plain sight. Many warning signs go unrecognised until it is too late, yet most heart disease is preventable through small, consistent changes and knowing your risk factors.
The campaign calls on individuals to recognise the signs, protect their hearts, and demand action from decision-makers. Download campaign resources from the World Heart Federation website at: https://world-heart-federation.org/world-heart-day/campaign-resources/
